Targeted Vocal Plans for You & Your Team
Strategic Growth for the Worship Vocalist
What is a Targeted Vocal Plan?
A TVP helps you answer three questions with clarity:
What’s actually happening in my voice (or our team’s sound)?
Why is it happening—what’s driving it underneath the surface?
What do I do next—specifically—and how do I measure progress?
The goal is simple: a voice (and a team) that is healthy, consistent, expressive, and free.
TVP Outputs
-
By using the spheres and the GASPS method as both development tools and an exercise model, this provides a unified framework of terminonogy that allows for strategic, measured, growth
-
An individual, vocalist-friendly plan focused on your voice—clear diagnosis, simple language, and step-by-step exercises you can follow right away.
-
A leadership-level team analysis focused on systems and patterns across multiple singers—root causes, training strategy, rehearsal integration, developer coaching language, and measurable team-wide progress.
How TVPs Are Built
Every Targeted Vocal Plan (TVP) is built by Joe through a real assessment process—this is not an automated template or generic coaching plan. The TVP is an analysis and training roadmap created from measurable inputs collected in person or through a virtual consultation, using multiple forms of evidence so the plan reflects what’s actually happening in your voice (or your team’s sound).
Data Sources We Use
Depending on your context, your TVP may be built from a combination of:
Live observation (in rehearsal, service, or coaching environment)
Virtual consultation (guided assessment + targeted tasks)
Video submissions (to evaluate mechanics, posture, breathing strategy, and performance behaviors)
Audio recordings (to evaluate pitch, tone, onset, stability, consistency, and stylistic choices)
Stems (isolated vocal tracks when available, for clearer diagnosis)
Multitracks or board recordings (to evaluate blend, tuning, balance, dynamics, and ensemble behavior)
Practice clips (to track repeatability and progress over time)
Personal surveys, personality testing, and Consecrated Algorithm tests.
What Joe Is Analyzing
Joe combines these inputs to identify:
What’s happening (symptoms and repeatable patterns)
Why it’s happening (root drivers—technical, physiological, cognitive, and spiritual/formation-related)
What to do next (the shortest path to stability, freedom, and reliability)
Individual + Team Application
Individual TVPs focus on your unique mechanics, habits, and performance patterns.
Team TVPs synthesize patterns across the group—so the plan addresses shared gaps, creates a unified coaching language, and produces consistent outcomes across the team.
Why This Works
Why This Works for Individuals
It’s evidence-based, not opinion-based. The plan is built from real inputs (live observation, video, recordings, stems when available), so you’re addressing what’s actually happening.
It targets root causes, not just symptoms. Instead of “try this tip,” you get clarity on the drivers behind tension, fatigue, inconsistency, pitch drift, breaks, or breathiness.
It’s sequenced in the right order. The plan stabilizes the most fragile links first—so your progress stacks instead of resetting every week.
It’s practical and repeatable. You get specific exercises, cues, and a daily/weekly structure that fits real worship life.
You can measure progress. Clear benchmarks make growth visible, which builds confidence and reduces the “am I getting better?” guesswork.
Why This Works for Worship Teams
It reveals patterns across the whole group. Instead of treating issues as isolated to one singer, you see the recurring constraints shaping your team’s sound week to week.
It creates a shared coaching language. Developers can give consistent feedback, faster—because everyone is using the same framework and definitions.
It integrates into rehearsal (not extra work). Warmups, skill blocks, and application moments are designed to fit your existing rehearsal flow.
It scales development without burning people out. The plan prioritizes the highest-impact issues first and gives simple drills that elevate the whole team.
It produces consistency, not just moments. The goal is a repeatable culture: healthier voices, better blend/tuning, more unified style, and dependable leadership on any weekend.
